The national rail system of China is one of the largest in the world, operating many different fleets of locomotives and rolling stock. The network serves every province except for the special administrative region of Aomen (Macau.) There are several high-speed rail projects in operation (designated CRH, for China Rail High-Speed) and more currently under development.
