Antelope Valley Transit Authority

The Antelope Valley Transit Authority, or AVTA, provides bus service to the Lancaster and Palmdale regions to the northwest of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. AVTA operates a number of local routes within Palmdale and Lancaster using Gillig Phantoms and Gillig Advantages as well as NABI 40C-LFW CNG "Compobuses." AVTA also operates three express bus routes using MCI coaches as well as two double-decker Neoplan Skyliner buses confined to express route 785.
