Orange County Transportation Authority:
New Flyer D40
OCTA's New Flyer D40 buses were originally manufactured in 1990. The D40s were numbered in the 5000s and 5100s, with the 5100s as semi-suburban units (used on express routes to downtown Los Angeles) and the 5000s as general transit buses. The 5000s are currently in the process of being replaced by New Flyer C40LFRs, although the 5100-series suburbans are slated to stay in service for a short while longer.
