City of Santa Clarita Transit

Santa Clarita is a rapidly-growing suburban city in the northwestern portion of Los Angeles County, home to such attractions as Six Flags Magic Mountain and the California Institute of the Arts. The local transit agency, City of Santa Clarita Transit (operated by Veolia), provides bus service to the city and the surrounding area, with a number of local routes and dial-a-ride service as well as express lines to several parts of Los Angeles and other communities.

The Santa Clarita bus fleet is currently dominated by Gillig Phantoms (30' and 40' models) and New Flyer C40LFs. In addition to these, a number of MCI D4000s and D4500s operate on Santa Clarita's express routes, and two NABI 60-BRTs can be seen operating for supplemental school day service.

City of Santa Clarita Transit was originally known as "Santa Clarita Transit", although the older name was deleted in mid-2007 as part a large branding overhaul. Most buses still carry the old Santa Clarita Transit logo and red stripes, although several vehicles (including two brand-new NABI 60-BRTs) are in the new blue and green livery reflecting the colors of the city's logo.
