Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District

The Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District (MTD) provides bus service to the southern part of Santa Barbara County, California. The agency serves the cities of Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, and Goleta as well as the unincorporated localities of Montecito, Summerland, and Isla Vista.

MTD's bus fleet consists of older NovaBUS LFS coaches and newer Gillig Advantages (29-foot diesel and 40-foot diesel-electric hybrid versions.)
