New Flyer D40LF

The CTA experimentally ordered 65 5800-series New Flyer D40LFs in 1995 as its first low floor bus order. Deeming it a success, the agency returned to New Flyer in 2006 to purchase 1,030 more of these buses, the delivery of which is still in progress.
