Chicago Transit Authority (Bus):

Orion I 01.508

Following the retirement of CTA's 96 inch-wide RTS buses, replacements were needed. Until the Optima Opus buses intended for the replacement of the RTSs were ready, the CTA decided to buy second-hand Orion I coaches from the suburban operator Pace. The Orion I buses were repainted in an alternative version of the CTA livery and mainly used on routes serving the Hyde Park region on Chicago's South Side. However, they were retired in 2006 when the Optima Opus buses arrived.
