NICTD South Shore Line
The NICTD South Shore Line (headquartered in Chesterton, IN) is an electrified interurban commuter rail route connecting downtown Chicago with South Bend, IN. One notable point of interest is the section of the line street-running through the center of Michigan City, IN.
The NICTD South Shore Line uses electric multiple unit cars built by Sumitomo that are powered by overhead catenary wires.
