Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (Bus):

New Flyer C40LF

The MBTA ordered two experimental New Flyer C40LF buses in 1999, along with two Orion VI hybrid buses. While the Orion VIs were not satisfactory, the MBTA decided to purchase fifteen additional C40LFs in 2001. Some of the C40LFs were painted silver for initial use on the Silver Line before the AN-460LF CNGs arrived, but they have now been repainted in standard livery.
