Orion V

These buses were built between 1987 and 1994 by the Transportation Manufacturing Corporation as part of the large succession of RTS bus orders that began in 1981 and ended in 1999. All buses have been repowered with Detroit Diesel Series 50 engines, except for the 1994 order, which came with them. The buses built before 1990 have all been retired or sent to MTA Bus; many 1990 buses have also had this treatment.

8397 (1990) was a Methanol Hybrid bus which has been scrapped. 8398 and 8399 (1990) were CNG buses which were later transferred to Command Bus Company; they were not included in the MTA Bus takeover and were subsequently scrapped. 8567 (1993) was a CNG bus that was transferred to Command Bus Company; it survived the takeover for a few months as MTA Bus 754, which has now been retired.
